This two-sided medal features the Miraculous Medal with blue enamel accents. Both sides have a scalloped border. It measures approximately 1 1/8" in height, is silver oxidized and made in Italy. Known as the Medal of the Immaculate Conception, the Miraculous Medal was created by St. Catherine Laboure following a vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This medal is believed to bring special intercessions on behalf of the Blessed Virgin Mary if worn with faith and devotion at the hour of death.
